Zachary L. Catanzaro, Esq.

Zachary L. Catanzaro is a solo practitioner who provides 

general counsel representation to small business owners and entrepreneurs with a focus on intellectual property and emergent technologies. His clients range in size from sole proprietors to a mid-sized manufacturing firm named as one of Inc. 500’s Fastest Growing Companies in America for 2016.

Zachary is an Adjunct Professor at St. Thomas University School of Law, where he teaches Blockchain & Cryptocurrency Law as part of the school's Intellectual Property Certificate Program.

Zachary is a member of the South Palm Beach County Bar Association, the Business Law Section of the Florida Bar, and the Entertainment, Arts, and Sports Law Section of the Florida Bar. He is a member of the Florida Bar Standing Advertising Committee, the Florida Bar Digital Currency Task Force, the Florida Bar Civil Rules Task Force, and the Vice Chair of the Florida Bar eDiscovery and eEvidence Committee

Zachary graduated magna cum laude with a Juris Doctor degree from St. Thomas University School of Law, where he was Articles Editor of the St. Thomas Law Review. He holds two bachelor degrees from Florida Atlantic University, in Entrepreneurial Management and Marketing and a minor in classical music performance on the trumpet.


Zachary was a distinguished law student, having interned for the Honorable Justice James E.C. Perry (ret.) of the Florida Supreme Court, the Honorable Magistrate Barry S. Seltzer of the United States District Court for the Southern District of Florida, the Miami-Dade State Attorney's Office, and for Kain Spielman PA, a complex intellectual property litigation boutique located in Fort Lauderdale, Florida. In addition to multiple dean's list awards, he received best student awards in the areas of Antitrust, Trade Secrets, Intellectual Property, Constitutional Law (Bill of Rights), Criminal Law, and Civil Procedure I and II.

Zachary is admitted to practice by the Florida Bar, the United States District Court for the Southern District of Florida, the United States District Court for the Northern District of Florida, the United States Court of Appeals for the Eleventh Circuit, and the United States Supreme Court.
